The Namib desert is composed almost entirely of soft sand and features the highest sand dunes in the World. Featuring no running water, and seldom seeing rain, the region is uninhabited by humans and presents a serious threat to anyone who ventures into it without the highest standards of preparation and planning.
In February 2015 we organised an expedition into the Namib to support two of Scotland’s most experienced expedition runners Andrew Murray and Donnie Campbell in an attempt to become the first people ever to run from south to north across the Namib. Despite the odds being stacked against them we completed this World Record breaking feat between 2nd and 10th February 2015.
We are proud to have handled the safety and logistics for this expedition and look forward to working again in this truly pristine wilderness of such beauty and character. We are delighted also to be working with BigShot Productions, who will document this historic effort. Special thanks to our superb African partners, and to Digitalpict photography.
